As medical costs rise and insurance premiums follow, more and more organizations, companies, and governmental agencies are looking at ways to cut costs while still being able to provide coverage for their employees. Woodbury County is among those having successfully shopped around and secured a better deal for its employees, saving the county roughly $70,000. The county employeed the services of a benefit consultant who was able to switch providers and save the county on health and life insurance as well as a prescription drug plan. Will more companies and organizations start employing the use of consultants as it grows more critical to get the best deal?
