In this time of open enrollment, employers are facing higher premiums for the coverages they offer their employees. In an effort to keep costs down and to prevent more of this burden being passed to employees, more companies are focusing on wellness and prevention, and on the use of health savings accounts. While also steering employees into higher deductible plans with lower premiums, they are trying to avoid offering much skimpier coverage to keep costs down.
