In Oklahoma, experts are looking at ways to make sure all of its citizens are covered under a health insurance policy. This is no easy task, but given that public assistance is available to far more people than take advantage of it, and the incredibly high number of employed citizens who are not covered, there seems to be ways to get this accomplished. Experts say that employees who have access to employer provided coverage should be automatically enrolled in the program. If employees are auto-enrolled, but given the choice to opt out, this would encourage a greater number of people to keep their coverage. Also, making publicly funded programs more easy to access and enrolling those who qualify without jumping through so many administrative and bureaucratic hoops would drastically reduce the number of people without insurance. Do you think this type of auto-enrollment would help the situation, or would people fight it?
