While the cost to companies for providing health insurance benefits to their employees is still much higher in the United States, some other places in the world are dealing with higher costs as well. The United Kingdom for example, is one of the highest in Europe, with companies spending 7 percent of their total payroll costs on healthcare benefits for their employees. Most of Europe spends an average of 5 percent, while the US on the other hand has to budget a daunting 15.4 percent of their total costs for these benefits. Read more about the rising costs here.
