America cannot afford to not reform the health insurance industry. The cost to continue with the way things are is too expensive. Health care spending has grown in the past decade 4 times faster than average wages. Premiums have doubled and even tripled in some cases. Out of pocket expenses for Americans have increased by 35%. Companies are buckling due to the outrageous health care costs. Once out of every six dollars spent in the US goes towards healthcare and soon it will be one out of every five dollars. If we sit back and do nothing in forty years one third of the country’s economic output will be wrapped up in the health care system. These costs are destroying families and businesses, keeping wages stagnate, inhibiting our economic growth and repressing our government. Do you think the health insurance reform will solve all these problems?
