The McGraw Wentworth survey is again targeting med-sized companies in Michigan to gain perspective on how the average employer is dealing with the problem of rising health insurance costs. To qualify for the survey, the employer must have a minimum of 100 employees and be based in the broader Michigan area. The goal of the survey is to find successful strategies which can be shared among area employers. Considering that costs are projected to rise by 8 to 12% this year, the survey will find out how employers are planning on dealing with this. In the past, employers have implemented wellness programs, increased the contribution of smoking employees, and some have increased the contribution from all employees. What strategies will the survey be likely to uncover this year?
