For many people working at a small company which cannot offer its employees health insurance benefits, the matter comes down to whether you can afford it on your own, or if you can get coverage under your spouse, or for some, it boils down to being forced to look for another job. For employees of the Purple Parasol, a bridal and specialty store, this is the issue they have to face. The store says it has lost a number of good employees because it could not afford to offer them health insurance, but regrettably they have no option. Health insurance for small companies such as this one simply cannot bear the burden of those high costs. If Obama changed the method by which people obtain health care, how will this affect the ability of small companies to retain their employees?
