If you are a nurse and over 50, you may agree with the AARP’s decision to award the Central Florida Health Alliance with top honors in its ranking of best places to work. The Villages Regional Hospital, a member of the Alliance, offers flexible schedules, shorter shifts for nurses, and health benefits for part time employees. Several employees voice their agreement noting that the flexible schedule allows them to work and be part of the community and the health benefits are an added bonus. Do you think programs like this are better for the bottom line of a company than making employees pay more for health insurance and giving them less incentives to stay in their job?
