Many Americans take a number of things for granted, and health care is sometimes one of them. This has decreased significantly however in recent years as rising costs have driven many employers to reduce or even suspend health insurance benefits to their employees. The cost of health care should be a primary concern for everyone, considering that medical costs drive an American into bankruptcy every 30 seconds, and sadly, 70 percent of these people HAVE insurance. Also frightening are the 22,000 Americans who die every year due to a lack of insurance, what many would call a senseless and preventable death. Flaws in the health care system can no longer be ignored, as they now present a very real and vital threat to the structure of our economy. The only solution for both our economic woes and to prevent the countless personal tragedies that result from insufficient health care is a massive reform. What are your thoughts on the future of health care in our country?
