While the country has been crying out for a major overhaul of the health care system in America, one which has been promised by our new president, people are still largely in favor of maintaining the employee benefit delivery system. While the majority of folks seem to want a universal type of coverage, unprecendented in our country, they still would like the backbone of the system to be via the employer. This raises the question of how the plan would work for those who are unemployed? How heavily will the government budget be burdened by all those who are currently unemployed, especially given the state of the economy?
