The health insurance industry is the main target that politicians focus on when they discuss the health care reform. House speaker Nancy Pelosi has called insurers villains and dishonest. Certain health insurance companies had different explanations for their demonization. The explanations range from backlash against the insurance industry’s campaign against the creation of a government run health care system, the facelessness of insurers compared to the others responsible players such as doctors and patients, and that people interact with insurers when things are already going wrong. The health insurance industry gets blamed for almost everything that people don’t like about health care. Do you agree? Do health insurance companies get blamed for what people don’t like about their health care?
