Workers Compensation premiums are moving in a totally different direction from the rest of the insurance marketplace, as they have fallen to one of the lowest levels in the nation. Partly thanks to state-mandated rollbacks and partly due to a drop in claims, Florida has become one of the best places for businesses to afford worker compensation benefits for their employees. Reforms earlier in the decade reducing the fees that attornies receive have also decreased the number of attornies willing to work on these cases, and this has resulted in fewer claims overall. The insurance industry is worried however about the unfairness of some of these reforms as well as skyrocketing health care costs.
